On March 8, 2022, International Women's Day, The SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam conferred KAILASA’s Bhushan Award the second highest civilian award to Mrs. Lauren King, renowned interior designer, for her extraordinary contributions to arts and culture. Mrs. Lauren King is a highly respected member of the design community. She has been working in the field since 1977. Mrs. King has vast experience in commercial, residential, and hospitality design, as well as a painting background having earned a painting major at Carnegie-Mellon University. Mrs. King applies these fine art principles and aesthetics in her three dimensional interior design works.
On January 3, 2023, SPH Nithyananda Day, The SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam posthumously conferred KAILASA’s Bhushan Award the second highest civilian award in the field of arts and culture to Mr. Richard King, founding member of King World Productions. King World was started by his father, Charles King, in 1964. Charles’ children inherited the company and they built it into the television industry’s dominant distributor of game and talk shows including Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy! and the Oprah Winfrey Show.
