The SPH’s Life
Descent of the Avatar
Born January 3, 1978 to parents Arunachalam and Likanayaki. The advent of The Avatār is the greatest happening in the universe. Every single being, every single individual consciousness, which is in the body while He is in the body, is blessed, because each has the possibility of meeting
Devotion of the Avatar
“When I was just three, my Grandfather would carry me on his shoulders to the ARUNĀCALEŚVARA Temple. He would take me around the Temple and tell me all the great epic stories - PURĀṆAS”
- HDH NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM
Yoga
“I was learning from Yogananda Puri from the age of three till the age of thirteen. At least four to five hours a day, he would make me do all kinds of asanas, and clean the body through neti and dhauti – the traditional cleaning methods of the nostril passage and the intestine. Till the age of thirteen, he prepared my body and mind to enter into the experience of enlightenment, and to stay in the experience of enlightenment.”
- HDH NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM
Disciplehood
During the period 1986 -1987, a number of other enlightened beings, mystics and siddhas were blessed to play their unique roles in the young Avatār’s Līlā of disciplehood, both teaching and learning from their incredible student, mentoring and guiding Him with loving reverence, thus being immortalized in Paramaśiva’s own eternally living purana, the deathless epic of His incarnations.

Sanyas
Sanyās is the lifestyle which The Avatār lived with such perfect integrity and authenticity. Throughout the Hindu History, it was this lifestyle and the people who lived it who saved Hinduism from disappearing from Planet Earth.
Arunagiri Yogisvara
Through the story of His beloved Guru, Aruṇagiri Yogīśvara, The Avatār recreates the magical experience of the guru-disciple relationship for millions of His own disciples, kindling in them the yearning to discover the same sweet space of disciple-hood, and the bliss of Advaita. The darśan of Aruṇagiri Yogīśvara, and the nine and a half month period during the life of The Avatār, appears as the most pivotal nine and a half months in the Līlā of His childhood.
Enlightenment
“I tell you, you can never possess enlightenment; you can never ‘achieve’ enlightenment. You can never possess enlightenment; only enlightenment can possess you. It happens to you when you drop all desires. In my own life, I can say I became enlightened when I had my first spiritual experience at twelve.”
– HDH NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM
Monastic Life
His heart rooted in spiritual pursuit, The Avatār was quick to move from polytechnic studies to Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Mylapore, Chennai where He believed He would have the Ultimate Realization. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahaṃsa (1836 – 1886), its founder and one of the greatest Saints of India is one of the cherished mentors and eternal inspirations of The Avatār.

Spiritual Wandering
The SPH wandered the length and breadth of India for 9 years, walking over 10,000 miles. He was supported and treated with respect by the people in the Indian Villages who gave him food, clothing and shelter. It is during this time that the SPH sat at the feet of many Masters to learn and be enriched.
Sathyasankalpa for Reviving ShriKailasa
On 14 April 2001, The Avatār inaugurated the historic first temple of ShriKailasa on the planet – “Kailasa in Tiruchengode”. It is in Tiruchengode, on the banks of the sacred Kaveri river (Tamilnadu, South India), He erected this temple-monastery complex on His own blood and sweat. From there started the revival and re-establishment of ShriKailasa Uniting Nations (SKUN) on the planet. It culminated in establishing of the only Hindu Nation in the world – “ShriKailasa”.
