Work

Ms. Sulosh Pillay is the Chairperson of Daughters of Africa with a proven track record in community development, project management and empowerment, implementing corporate social investments (CSI) projects in various sectors for over 35 years.

Ms. Pillay serves as an ambassador speaking at public platforms sharing her story on her cancer journey. Daughter of Africa implements both cancer and diabetes screening and awareness for free in communities that do not have access to health care.

Ms. Pillay is also the Vice Chair ACT Foundation SA, a global charity community formed in 2003 which operates in a growing number of countries across Africa, Asia and Europe.

Ms. Pillay has been a recipient of many awards for her philanthropy work, amongst others: Mayors Award for excellence in community work, Ammen Women of the year Award, Peacock Award Indian Academy of SA, The Ponnadai (golden shawl) Award by Progressive Women’s Movement, Om Shanti Peace Award, Women Of Wonder (WOW) Award, and many more.

Ms. Pillay has recently been appointed a member of the Multidisciplinary Ministerial Advisory Committee (MAC) for Social Behaviour by the National Minister of Health and Social Development.
