For a number of years Governor Polloi has been tirelessly working to elevate the living standard of all Melekeok State Citizens. In 2015 Governor Polloi founded a scholarship for Melekeok State students annually supporting young people in furthering their education.

Melekeok is one of 16 states in the Republic of Palau, a tropical archipelago in the western Pacific. Palau is renowned for its matchless island scenery, pristine dive sites, and world-famous natural features, including the forest-tufted Rock Islands and surreal Jellyfish Lake.

The Republic of Palau prides itself with the stewardship of the ocean. The Palau National Marine Sanctuary is the foundation that supports the sustainability and balance between our natural resources and economic development, ensuring that all of what makes Palau the Pristine Paradise it is today, will last for generations to come.
