When filling our nomination form, we may collect various types of personal data about both you (the nominator) and the candidate you are nominating (the nominee), that can be used to contact or identify you or the nominee. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
Identity Data, which comprises information such as title, first name and last name, as well as a profile picture of the nominee.
Contact Data, which comprises information such as your email address, phone number, as well as the mailing address of the nominee in order for us to mail the award certificate and gift.
Profile Data, which comprises information such as your interests, preferences, relationship with the nominee, as well as a short biography of the nominee
We do not usually collect “sensitive personal data” about the nominator nor the nominee , e.g. health status.
Please note that if you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

- Find and prevent fraud
Nominators
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it as described above, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Nominees
Personal data provided for the nominees through the nomination form is regularly reviewed as nominees are eligible for consideration for several years.
Laureates
Once selected as a Laureate, the personal data of the individual remains in our network database. Personal details such as contact information are securely stored to communicate with them, support their work, and invite them to events, meetings, and conferences. The stored personal details are regularly reviewed.
We also use audio recording and photography during our events to publicly promote events and to share events remotely with those who are unable to attend in person. The material is also used in our communication efforts and to provide an archive of the events.
You may at any time opt-out of receiving future emails by emailing us at [email protected].
What if you do not want to share your personal data?
Unless otherwise specified above, we generally collect your personal data on a voluntary basis. However, please note that if you decline to provide certain mandatory personal data, we may not be able to consider the candidate you are nominating for the Kailasa Om® Award.
