Justice Dr. T. N. Vallinayagam was appointed as Government Tamil Nadu Advocate (Civil Side) in 1982 for attending all Civil cases for the entire State of Tamil Nadu. He was promoted to the Cadre of Additional Government Pleader (Civil Side), High Court in 1983 and held that post for 6 years.

As Additional Government Pleader, he was in charge of settling various deeds to be executed by State Government undertakings. He is an expert in conveyancing, drafted many deeds of various lands and nature, and a panel advocate in Indian Overseas Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Oil Corporation, Indian Airlines and other Corporations and Companies.

At present he is serving as a Judge – Permanent and Continuous Lok Adalat, High Court of Madras.
