Reverend Jambo Mulla Antero is a Bishop of Christ Church of Nakasongola. He was born on New Year’s day, Jan. 1st, 1965 in Isoke, Sudan, as the second child and only son of five children. He was raised in Sudan, an Islamic country to parents of Christian religion. His education was focused on Theology which he received from Bible School of Sudan along with many other achievements. He was ordained to the priesthood by late Bishop Thomas Lohima in the year 1986 at the age of 17; and since then has dedicated his life in serving the society with the name of Christ.

Since a very young age, Rev. Jambo Mulla Antero, has witnessed ethnicity clashes and religious war, one such incident was the killing of 64 people in a church compound where they were later buried as a mass grave. Rev. Bishop has faced many deaths since 1976, and continues till to date. He sacrifices his life for the poor, especially for South Sudanes. The yearning for harmony and serving people in oneness and unity sparked within. Realizing this, Rev. Bishop Jambo Mulla founded Christ Church Nakasongola, a church of Christ in 1988 and worked alongside Muslims in 1992 to 2005 to bring Muslim and Christian communities together. The Church of Christ embraces peace and harmony and carries God’s love by offering activities to orphan centers, working with young people under the Youth Ministers Center and providing training for gospel. As a Bishop he is head of Christ Church Nakasongola with all the branches of Christ Churches and is also a spiritual mentor to 10 other Reverends and Pastors.

Currently he also holds the responsibility as the advisor of all Isoke communities, the Dong tono Tribe from Eastern Equatorial State in South Sudan. Today the Christ Church Nakasongola has established interfaith relationships with Christians, Muslims and Hindus, which promotes global peace and harmony.
